Inflatables need more room than their listed dimensions. The setup area may also need space for blower equipment, safety zones, stakes or anchoring, entry and exit points, adult supervision, and delivery access.
Measure the usable area rather than the entire yard. Trees, fences, landscaping, patios, septic systems, overhead wires, and outdoor furniture can reduce the space available.
The best setup area is generally level, open, and free of debris. Before delivery:
Remove toys and furniture
Clean up pet waste
Move lawn equipment
Check for rocks or sharp objects
Trim low branches if necessary
Mark sprinkler heads or underground concerns
Let the rental company know whether the inflatable will be placed on grass, pavement, or another surface. Different surfaces may require different anchoring methods.
Most inflatables require continuous electrical power to operate the blower.
Where the nearest outlet is located
Whether the outlet works
Whether other equipment will use the same circuit
Whether a generator may be needed
Whether cords can be placed safely
A working outlet on the opposite side of the property may not be close enough.
The best inflatable is not automatically the largest one.
Children’s ages
Height differences
Number of users
Type of activity

Whether adults will participate
A smaller bounce house may work well for younger children, while older children may prefer a slide, obstacle course, or sports challenge. Tell Greer Event Rentals the age range of the children attending so we can help narrow the options.

Do not wait until guests arrive to decide what happens if the weather turns.
An adult should actively supervise the inflatable during use.
Limiting the number of users
Separating children of very different sizes
Preventing rough play
Keeping food and drinks away
Making sure shoes and sharp objects are removed
Stopping use when conditions become unsafe
The inflatable should never be treated as an unsupervised babysitter.
